Omar Blanco was born and raised in Almagro one of the Buenos Aires neighborhoods most identified with tango. Coming from a tango family, where grandfather and father tango singers, brother tango dancer, a family that lives from and for tango, Omar began his musical studies with the guitar at the age of 15 with the maestro Bartolome Palermo- reference guitar in tango. At the age of 20 years he started playing professionally, working with the most outstanding tango figures such as Carlos Morel, Sandra Luna, Daniel Cortez Etc.
At the same time Omar began to get involved with tango dance training with the maestros Gabriel Angio, Natalia Games and Silvio La Via. At the age of 25 he started giving classes and exhibitions in different milongas of Buenos Aires with the special quality coming from his wide tango music knowledge and tangero formation. His classes aspire students to understand and deepen their most sentimental and poetic part of the dance without leaving aside the musical part, focusing on developing each student its own way of dancing, not just repeating steps and figures.
